Cause of Impetigo

Impetigo is caused by bacteria. There are two types of bacteria that can cause impetigo. Those are Staphylococcus Aureus and Group A Streptucoccus. Impetigo usually begins with a sore or a rash that is scratched repetitively, such as that caused by poison oak. The infection begins and is spread to other parts of the body and to other people.
