The aloe plant requires an average temperature of no less than 50 degrees fahrenheit. It can survive up to 104 degrees fahrenheit. It requires full sunlight, although an excess of sunlight can cause the leaves to turn brown. It needs minimal water, since it is a succulent plant.
Nevada has varying temperatures, but if you live in the southern part of the state, you should be able to grow the aloe plant outdoors. The climate is dry and temperatures warm enough that the plant should thrive.
In the northern part of the state or mountainous regions, you will need to grow the plant indoors. You could move it outdoors during the warm summer months, but keep it potted so that it can easily be transferred back indoors as the weather turns cold.
